On Saturday, August 25, 2018, The Dayton Public Schools Office for Males of Color will host the second annual Males of Color Educational Action Summit.

The mission of the Males of Color Educational Action Summit is to close the achievement gap for African American, Urban Appalachian, Native American, Hispanic and Latino males, from cradle to career. Bringing together grade school, high school, college students, business professionals, educators, government officials and community leaders, the summit will emphasize social emotional development supports, academic acceleration and recovery, cultural competency and professional development for educators, community mentors, parents, students and staff. The MOC summit will lead to an increased awareness of the prevailing issues that impact our community, our students and the changing U.S. demographics by enhancing the experience of the, “Males of Color” through involvement, engagement and dialogue.

Please join us for what will be an informative and impactful event. This event is free and open to the public. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
